Elizabeth “Lisa” Fasano was admitted to the Washington State Bar in 2002 and has had more than 18 years of experience as a family law trial attorney in the state of Washington. Ms. Fasano has handled more than 1,000 family law cases and taken hundreds of family law cases to trial. Her practice focuses heavily on litigated custody matters of all kinds. Ms. Fasano has taught classes on child support, and family law forms and law practice automation to fellow attorneys, judges, court personnel and law office staff in Washington, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. She has also taught family law classes to paralegals and served as a mock trial coach for trial advocacy students at Western Washington University.
Ms. Fasano is a member of the WSBA, and the Family Law Section of the WSBA. Ms. Fasano received the prestigious “Super Lawyer Rising Star” in Family Law award, by peer nomination and vote in 2006 and 2009. Ms. Fasano is also a member of NAFLA and was voted one of the top ten family attorneys in Washington in 2019 and 2020.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Ms. Fasano worked as a Senior Litigation Paralegal (5 years), Law Clerk (5 years), and Licensed Legal Intern (2 years). During this time, while continuing her legal education, Ms. Fasano also worked as a software programmer, webmaster, and marketing director for a family law legal software company in Seattle, Washington.
Ms. Fasano is active in her community and served as a volunteer for LAW Advocates for many years prior to becoming an attorney. Ms. Fasano designed a comprehensive care management and statistical data tracking application for her local volunteer lawyer program. This application was considered for purchase by Seattle University Law School and the WSBA. Ms. Fasano currently donates dozens of hours of her time every year to her community, performing low cost and no cost legal services to people with limited means.
Ms. Fasano grew up in the Pacific Northwest. Although she moved to Southern California more than once for college, and then again for law school (for a total of 7 years), she moved back to Washington State in the late 90’s. Ms. Fasano is a divorced single mother who resides in Bellingham with her teenage son. Ms. Fasano has 2 sons and 1 grandson. Lisa and her son are avid animal lovers. In her (limited) free time, Lisa enjoys singing; skiing; learning math with her son; watching or reading science fiction anytime, anywhere; writing; photography; coffee; and cats.
